Planting Hope in Tulkarem: A Tree for Nagham Odeh

That’s why we launched our olive tree initiative: a commitment to give back to the very soil that gives our products life, and to support the farmers who preserve this heritage with quiet resilience.

We’re proud to partner with Treedon for Palestine, an organization dedicated to replanting olive groves across the region. Recently, one of our donated trees found its new home — and the story behind it is a powerful reminder of why we started this initiative in the first place.

From Our Brand to a Woman’s Hands: Meet Nagham Odeh

The olive tree donated through Olive & Foam was planted on a family farm in Tulkarem, a northern West Bank town known for its agriculture and strength. It was given to Nagham Odeh, a 44-year-old Palestinian mother of five.

Nagham’s story embodies the struggle and strength of countless Palestinian women. She lives with chronic illness and endures ongoing financial hardship, yet continues to work her land to provide for her family. This tree is more than a gift — it's a lifeline, a gesture of solidarity, and a source of long-term support.

To her, this olive tree is not just a plant. It’s a symbol of survival. A way to continue a legacy. A sign that she’s not alone.

A Tribute That Reaches Beyond the Farm

What makes this story even more special is that the land Nagham tills was also selected as a tribute site for President Jimmy Carter, in honor of his unwavering dedication to Palestinian rights throughout his life. The planting of the tree was attended by a representative from the Carter Foundation, adding an international layer of recognition and meaning to this moment.

The convergence of a personal story and a global symbol of solidarity makes this particular tree deeply meaningful — not only to us, but to everyone connected to the cause of justice in Palestine.
